ANSR-140/141 :  ASCEND-45/46 Fall 2022 Flight : 19 November 2022

The Launch Day prediction for the ANSR-140/Ascend-45 balloon flight filled with helium to a lift of 140% of payload weight is for a flight of 70.3 km (43.7 miles) on a bearing of 094º, landing at 33° 1.697'N, 111° 13.978'W, or 14.5 km (9 miles) East of Florence, AZ.  Burst should occur after 67 minutes with a total flight time of 102 minutes. The assumptions for this prediction are a 3000 gram balloon, payload mass of 7.51 kg (16.53 lbs.), neck lift of 10.52 kg (23.14 lbs.), an ascent rate of 7.4 m/sec (1456 fpm), a burst altitude of 30,244 meters (99,200 feet), descent rate at landing of 6.26 m/sec (1232 fpm) and using Sondehub.org.  Google Earth KML and JPG files are attached.

The launch of ANSR-140 is tentatively scheduled for today, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM MST (1600 UT), from the UA Ag Center in Maricopa, AZ (33° 4.402'N, 111° 58.966'W).
