Good Morning,

The Saturday Launch Day prediction for the ANSR-147 balloon flight with a fill of hydrogen to produce 24 lbs. of lift is for a flight of 153 km (95 miles) on a bearing of 072º, landing at 33° 59.491'N, 112° 38.029'W, 9km (5.6 miles) ENE of Wickenburg, Arizona. Burst should occur after 70 minutes with a total flight time of 103 minutes. The assumptions for this prediction are a 3000 gram Kaymont balloon, payload mass of 8.185 kg (18.008 lbs), neck lift of 10.9 kg (24.0 lbs), an ascent rate of 7.04 m/sec (1386 fpm), a burst altitude of 30,265 meters (99,300 feet), descent rate at landing of 6.65 m/sec (1309 fpm) and using the Sondehub Predictor. Google Earth KML, JPG files and a screenshot of the Sondehub.org predictor are attached. NOTE: The amount of hydrogen required for this fill is 13,048 liters.

The launch of ANSR-147 is scheduled for today, Saturday, November18,2023 at 10:00 AM MST (1700 UT), from a launch site south of the town of Quartzite, Arizona near the intersection of LaPaz Valley Road and US-95 (33° 34.872'N, 114° 13.076'W).

The Saturday Launch Day prediction for the ANSR-148 balloon flight with a fill of hydrogen to produce 24 lbs. of lift is for a flight of 144 km (90 miles) on a bearing of 072º, landing at 33° 57.913'N, 112° 43.676'W, or 9.7 km (5.2 miles) WSW of ANSR-147 and in Wickenburg, AZ. Burst should occur after 62 minutes with a total flight time of 97 minutes. The assumptions for this prediction are a 3000 gram Kaymont balloon, payload mass of 7.47 kg (16.5 lbs), neck lift of 10.9 kg (24.0 lbs), an ascent rate of 7.94 m/sec (1562 fpm), a burst altitude of 30,235 meters (99,200 feet), descent rate at landing of 6.36 m/sec (1252 fpm) and using the Sondehub Predictor.
